Privacy
The short version: no advertising trackers, no marketing pixels and no contact form. The detail is below.
Information you choose to send
If you email RhoStone, your message passes through RhoStone’s email provider. Please don’t send confidential, personal or sensitive material in a first enquiry.
Website data
This is a static website with no forms. It’s hosted on Google’s Firebase Hosting, which processes the standard technical information needed to serve pages and keep the service secure.
Analytics and cookies
If you allow it, the site loads Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies and sends Google details such as the pages you view, your approximate location, your device and browser, and where you came from. We use the totals to decide what to write and fix, and nothing is used for advertising.
With analytics allowed, clicking an email link is also counted as an event. It records which link was used, never what you type.
If you say no, Google Analytics doesn’t load and no analytics cookies are set. Your choice is kept in your browser’s local storage so you aren’t asked on every page.
Who is responsible
RhoStone Ltd is the controller of the personal information described here. It’s registered in England and Wales, company number 17483669, with its registered office at 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. Contact [email protected] about anything on this page.
Why we can use it
Replying to an email you send, and keeping a record of the conversation, rests on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and running the business. If it leads to work, the engagement contract takes over. Analytics rests on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the button above.
How long it’s kept
Enquiries are kept while they’re useful for the conversation and then deleted. Records from an engagement are kept for as long as the contract, tax rules or a possible claim require. Google Analytics data is kept for a limited period set in Google Analytics, then deleted.
Where it goes
Hosting, email and analytics providers process information on RhoStone’s behalf, and some of it may be handled outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, it’s covered by the UK’s adequacy arrangements or standard contractual clauses. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared for advertising.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information held about you, and ask for it to be corrected, deleted or restricted, or object to how it’s used. Email [email protected] and you’ll get a reply. If you’re unhappy with the answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Client material
How confidential material shared during an engagement is handled, including which AI tools may be used, is agreed in writing before any of it is shared.
Changes
If the site starts using forms or any other service that changes how visitor information is handled, this page will be updated first.
